Botox and Fillers

At  Garden State Medical Spa we offer a Cosmetic Botox injection to help reverse the appearance of facial wrinkles. Over time wrinkles form from repeated muscle contractions or facial expressions. Botox is injected into the muscles of a certain area in the face to provide a youthful glow.

Botox contains botulinum toxin which is a neurotoxic protein that relaxes the muscles. Results are seen within 7-14 days after treatment and last up to four months. Botox is a great choice for those that want to look youthful without surgery.

BOTOX can help you achieve younger-looking skin. Forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet often develop from years of repeated facial expressions creasing skin. BOTOX contains onabotulinumtoxinA, a solution that temporarily relaxes muscles under the skin to lessen the look of wrinkles.

Like all medical treatments, Botox and dermal fillers have the potential for some minor side effects. In rare cases, both Botox and fillers could result in allergic reactions like difficulty swallowing or breathing.

Botox Cosmetic and dermal fillers are FDA-approved treatments. Botox is meant for moderate to severe frown lines in adults, while dermal fillers are FDA approved for specific uses in adults over age 22, including:

After Botox treatment, avoid massaging or rubbing the treated areas as it could cause Botox to spread to other areas in your body. Also, avoid lying down or bending over for at least four hours after treatment to prevent Botox from causing eyelid droop.
