These exams focus on sexual health issues, including sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and birth control. Women’s health also includes issues concerning your reproductive organs, like menstruation problems or menopause.

Starting at age 40, women can choose to receive annual breast cancer screenings with mammograms. Mammograms are especially recommended for women who have a family history of breast cancer.

Whether you start mammograms at age 40, you should receive annual mammograms between the ages of 45 and 54. Depending on your age and symptoms, Dr. Mehta may order bone density scans or other tests as well.
